JOHNSON, Deacon Cecil E. Sr., son of the late Smith and Mary Johnson, was called to eternal rest on September 11, 2013. He is survived by his son, Cecil E. Johnson Jr. (Ervina); daughters, Betty Ann Taylor (Walter) and Joyce Johnson; granddaughters, Rakia and LaSara Johnson; brother, Fred Johnson Sr. "Sweet Corn"; sisters, Geraldine Moat and Josephine Howard (Theodore); and a host of cousins and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Cedar Street Baptist Church of God, 2301 Cedar St., from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. Dr. Anthony M. Chandler, pastor. Arrangements entrusted to Walter J. Manning Funeral Home.
